In this episode, we kick off a brand-new series, The Story of Joseph, beginning in Genesis 37 with a dreamer born into a family marked by favoritism, jealousy, and unresolved wounds. Joseph's story reminds us that God can plant purpose in the middle of dysfunction — and that God-given dreams aren't limited by our imperfection, canceled by opposition, or dependent on everyone else's understanding. Instead, divine dreams often unfold through ordinary obedience, one faithful next step at a time. From the pit to the prison to the palace, we'll discover that even when we can't see what God is doing, He's still writing a bigger story. The question isn't whether we can see the whole story — it's whether we trust God enough to say, "I'm ready to go."

Joseph’s dreams begin in a family marked by favoritism, jealousy, resentment, and unresolved wounds—but Genesis 37 shows that God can plant purpose in the middle of dysfunction. This sermon explores how God-given dreams are not limited by imperfection, canceled by opposition, or dependent on everyone else’s understanding. Through Joseph’s story, we’ll see that divine dreams often unfold through ordinary obedience, one faithful next step at a time. The question is not whether we can see the whole story, but whether we trust God enough to say, “I’m ready to go.”

Life rarely unfolds the way we expect, and sometimes the biggest detours leave us questioning where God is in the middle of the mess. In this opening message of the Joseph series, we discover that before Joseph’s story begins, God was already at work through Jacob, offering His presence, promises, and grace to a broken man on the run. Through Jacob’s dream at Bethel, we see that God remains faithful even when we fall short and uncertain about the future. No matter where you find yourself today, God’s promises are still secure because they rest on His faithfulness, not your performance.

In this episode of Beyond Sunday, the team wraps up the Ephesians series by looking back at two messages that bring Paul's letter home. First they dig into Ephesians 6:5-9 and the challenge to see our everyday work as worship — showing up with integrity, serving as though we're working for the Lord, and letting the way we work become a witness. Then they turn to the series finale, Ephesians 6:10-20, where Paul calls us to put on the full armor of God and stand firm in His strength rather than our own — a message that lands especially close as Newbreak celebrates 40 years of God's faithfulness and looks ahead to the next forty. Whether you're looking for encouragement, perspective, or a deeper understanding of the Gospel, this conversation will help you continue the journey beyond Sunday.

As Newbreak celebrates 40 years of God’s faithfulness, this final message in Ephesians reminds us that the Christian life is not fought in our own strength, but in the power of Christ. Through Paul’s call to put on the full armor of God, we discover how to stand firm amid conflict, confusion, and spiritual battles. Filled with stories of God’s provision throughout Newbreak’s history, this sermon challenges us to anchor ourselves in truth, depend on God’s strength, and persevere in prayer. As we look back on four decades of faithfulness, the bigger question remains: How will we stand and step forward into the next 40 years?

In this episode of Beyond Sunday, the team works through Ephesians 6:1–4 and Paul's reframing of family life around one relationship: our relationship with Jesus. They get honest about parenting under Christ's authority instead of our own — kids who obey because they belong rather than because fear demands it, and parents called to nurture disciples rather than control them. Along the way, they sit with the harder questions, like what honor looks like when a parent was harmful, and why apologizing to your child might be the most powerful evangelistic act in your home. Whether you're looking for encouragement, perspective, or a deeper understanding of the Gospel, this conversation will help you continue the journey beyond Sunday.

What if the way you work says more about your faith than you realize? In Ephesians 6:5-9, Paul reframes ordinary work with an eternal perspective: whether we are leading, serving, managing, or simply showing up, we ultimately work before Jesus. This message challenges us to stop cutting corners when no one is watching and start seeing our workplace as a place of worship. When Christ is our true Master, our work becomes more than a job—it becomes a witness.

In this episode of Beyond Sunday, the team digs into Ephesians 5:21–33 and Paul's vision of marriage as far more than a contract — a living picture of Christ and the Church. They talk honestly about what mutual submission actually looks like day to day, why sacrificial love and Christ-centered respect are so counter-cultural, and how the way spouses treat each other becomes a visible picture of the invisible God. The conversation zooms out too: whether you're married, single, divorced, or hoping to be married one day, God's vision for marriage points all of us back to Jesus. Whether you're looking for encouragement, perspective, or a deeper understanding of the Gospel, this conversation will help you continue the journey beyond Sunday.

What if the clearest picture of the gospel in your home isn't what you say at dinner, but how you treat the people around the table? In Ephesians 6:1–4, Paul tells children to obey and honor because they belong to the Lord, not because fear demands it—then turns to fathers, trading Roman domination for nurture. Parenting becomes discipleship: leading under Christ's authority rather than our own, holding guardrails and grace together. Wherever you land in your family story, God's design points us back to our perfect Father.

What if your faith is most clearly revealed not on Sunday, but in your kitchen, your conversations, and your marriage? In Ephesians 5:21–33, Paul shows us that Spirit-filled marriage is more than a contract—it is a living picture of Christ and the Church. Mutual submission, sacrificial love, and Christ-centered respect help marriages reflect the gospel in everyday life. Whether you are married, single, divorced, or hoping to be married one day, God’s vision for marriage points all of us back to Jesus.
