Just like the Super Bowl highlights a few players while dozens work faithfully behind the scenes, the church only thrives when everyone steps off the sidelines and uses their gifts to serve. In Acts 6, the early church faced growing pains and discovered that when each person stepped into their God-given calling—listening to needs, sharing responsibility, and serving where they were gifted—the church grew stronger, healthier, and the gospel spread further. The invitation for us is simple: don’t just attend church, get in the game, because when every part of the body serves, God multiplies the impact.

The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live boldly, not blending in but standing out so the world doesn’t miss the message of Jesus. Through Acts 4, we see that boldness flows from being with Jesus—expressed in courageous testimony, fearless prayer, and generous, sacrificial living even in the face of opposition. As we spend time with Jesus and remain filled with the Holy Spirit, God calls us away from comfortable consumption and into courageous contribution for His mission.

January 25, 2026
In this weekend’s sermon, we continued the story of the early church living out their faith in everyday life. As Peter and John head to the temple to pray, God uses them to bring healing to a man who had been lame from birth—drawing a crowd and creating an opportunity to share Jesus. Acts 3:1–21 makes it clear the miracle isn’t the main point—Jesus is. Peter redirects the attention to Christ, reminding everyone that the power comes through faith in His name. This passage calls us to live with obedience and availability, staying open to divine interruptions, continually checking our hearts, repenting, and finding true hope and refreshment in Him as we live a “follow me as I follow Christ” kind of life.
